N4KCN.com is online and operational! There is much to do and many
things to add, so please visit us often!
It is my intention NOT to build the same old boring "Run Of The
Mill" website, but to offer an interactive site with helpful
resources, as well as a map through my journey as an Amateur Radio
Operator with ideas, blogs, images and stories. |

I got my new Yaesu FT-2900 2 Meter 75W mobile. I got it used from
Radio Mart. The only sign that it was used was that the plastic film
was missing from the display. I could have bought the same rig brand
new for less at

Greetings
and thank you for stopping by my site. My name is Tom, N4KCN. I am a
General-class Amateur Radio license holder. I earned my
Technician-class license in October, 2006. Then, in 2010, I sat for
and passed the General-class exam.
Amateur Radio (or HAM Radio) was something I was interested in since
I was a teen, but never acted on it until after I was married with
children. As is the case with most Hams, I was once an avid CBer. I
bought my first CB when I was 15 years old with money I earned on my
paper route. It was a Realistic TRC-414.
The focus of this site is not only to share what I am doing as a
ham, but I also hope the site will become a resource for those who
are interested in Amateur Radio as well as those who are already
hams.
If you have any suggestions to make this site better, please share
them with me. You can reach me at N4KCN-AT-N4KCN-DOT-COM.
Again, welcome and thanks for visiting! 73!
